Pink Bracelet

Think Pink . . . for Love!

OK! So you’ve worn the color red, and you've gotten the attention of that special someone. Now it’s time to turn that fiery attraction into the steady glow of love. What to do? Add some white to your red and make pink! While red is associated with attraction and sensuality, pink is associated with romance and love. Make no mistake, though: pink still contains all the excitement of red; it’s just been mixed with pure, innocent white. The result is added kindness, tenderness, and caring.

When you think about it, it’s really no surprise that the feng shui colors for Marriage & Relationships—pink, red, and white—are the colors found in most valentines. In more ways than one, pink is connected to matters of the heart. Along with the color green, pink is associated with the heart chakra—the energy center located in the middle of the chest. The heart chakra influences our ability to feel and give love, not only to others but to ourselves. It is the chakra that helps us take care of ourselves and make choices that nurture our growth and well-being, as well as the growth and well-being of others.

There are so many shades of pink. Which ones to use or wear? Let’s start with rose pink. Rose is uplifting, optimistic, and gentle. You've heard the expression “looking at the world through rose-colored glasses”? Well, people with this outlook tend to see the world and those in it with unconditional love and compassion. They are supportive, caring friends and partners who give freely and from the heart. Being around them is soothing and relaxing. It’s almost like getting a massage. And that would make sense, since pink is a muscle relaxant! (Hmmm, remember that ad slogan “Quick as a wink, you're in the pink with soothing Pepto Bismol”? Is it possible that they made it pink because it works by relaxing your stomach muscles?)

Rose is a great color for a bedroom, especially if it’s in the Marriage gua, because it encourages kindness and gentility. It’s also a restful shade, and it gives people a feeling of health—a rosy glow, so to speak.

Not tickled by rose pink? Another kind and compassionate pink—but one with a little more zing—is magenta. If you’re ever feeling depressed, angry, or frustrated, magenta is just the prescription to get your spirits soaring again and put you back in love with the world.

If magenta is a bit too shocking for you, there are always the darker pinks, such as soft plum, mulberry, and maroon. These colors are a bit closer to red in that they promote a more fun-loving and sensuous attitude.

When worn on the body (as in the bracelets on this page), pink can do the following:
soothe and calm the emotions
promote a healthy, optimistic outlook
encourage love and romance
encourage compassion and kindness
act as a muscle relaxant

Want to bring more love into your life? Wear the color pink . . . or add it to your Marriage & Relationships gua. With so many shades from which to choose, you’re sure to find your match!
